Times Change volunteers recognized at Volunteer Service Awards
June 2009
Eileen Fadelle and Astrid Von Dem Hagen were recognized for their long-standing volunteer service with Times Change Women's Employment Service June 17th at the Ontario Volunteer Service Awards in Toronto.
The Volunteer Service Awards, sponsored by the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration, recognize volunteers for their continuous years of commitment and service to an organization. Astrid and Eileen received recognition for volunteering with Times Change for 10 and 15 years respectively as Intake/Reception workers. Eileen also served on the Board and acted as Board President for several years.
Eileen and Astrid received a commemorative pin and certificate, and were congratulated by the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, Mr. Michael Chan. Refreshments followed the ceremony at which time volunteers were given an opportunity to mingle.
Over 8500 volunteers were acknowledged by the Ministry for their contributions across Ontario.
Times Change Board President, Carolyn Rouse, and Intake/Outreach Coordinator, Katie Didyk, were on hand at the ceremony.
Times Change would like to take this time to thank all of our volunteers who dedicate their time to support our agency. We value your contribution and think of you as true ambassadors to Times Change.
