Beyond Mozambique
Times Change Theatre Benefit
Saturday April 5th, 2008
What a success! On Saturday April 5th, new and long time supporters of Times Change filled the seats of the Factory Mainspace Theatre, to see Beyond Mozambique and raise funds for a good cause.
The night started off with the buzz and excitement of friends, staff and board reconnecting at the reception prior to the play. Theatre goers indulged themselves on irresistible and delightful cupcakes made by Tammy Bakes Cakes. With palettes sweetened, the audience immersed themselves in the dark comedy of Beyond Mozambique, a play taking place in an unnamed African jungle with six unique, quirky and outrageous characters.
The audience enjoyed a truly Canadian play written by George F. Walker, and directed by Factory Theatre founder, Ken Gass. Following the show, the director and actors treated the audience to a rare opportunity to a question and answer session.
Times Change succeeded in raising around $4500. Once again, the commitment and support of our sponsors, donors and ticket buyers made this event a wonderful success.
