Rebecca Upjohn is the author of Lily and the Paper Man (illustrated by Renné Benoit and published by Second Story Press, 2007), a picture book for children about a young girl who helps out a homeless man. It has been nominated for the 2008 Blue Spruce Award. Rebecca lives in Toronto with her husband and their two teenage boys.

Frances Rooney is a writer, editor and spiritual director who lives in Toronto. Her books include Working Light: The Wandering Life of Photographer Edith S. Watson (published in Canada, the U.S., and Britain), Our Lives (a finalist for a Lambda Award), and Extraordinary Women Explorers (recipient of the Canadian Children's Book Centre Our Choice designation).
